Second Round Elevation Grant Recipients Announced

INDIANAPOLIS —  The City of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Foundation recently announced the second round of funding awarded by the Elevation Grant Program, an initiative with the goal of investing $45 million in neighborhoods over the next three years to address the root causes of violent crime in the city. The second round awarded over $8.6 million to organizations that have demonstrated evidence-based violence reduction programming or strategies. The organizations include:
• Chin Community of Indiana
• Project Free University (CAFE serving as fiscal agent)
• Soul Food Project
• Martindale-Brightwood Community Development Corp.
• Coburn Place Safe Haven
• Lutheran Child and Family Services (fiscal for Community Heights Neighborhood Association)
• Fathers and Families Resource/Research Center
• Horizon House
• Peace Learning Center
