Martin University Announces “Reset to Reemerge” Campaign

INDIANAPOLIS — Martin University recently launched the Reset to Reemerge Campaign, an effort to make education more accessible, affordable and applicable for its students. In keeping with its mission, the university seeks to ensure diverse and underserved populations can access a quality education that transforms their lives and livelihood.
As part of the campaign, tuition is being reduced by up to 45 percent to encourage students to enroll in courses to remain on track for graduation, called banded tuition, without accruing crippling student loan debt. Plus, Martin is identifying students who need financial help to finish their degree and forgiving their debt up to $10,000 for those who qualify.
“We have found that many of our students stop short of graduating and can’t quite cross the finish line,” said Martin University President Sean L. Huddleston. “We want to give them a guided path forward and be both ‘accessible’ and ‘affordable’ by reducing tuition and forgiving qualifying debt. This makes us one of the most impactful and affordable universities in Indiana.”
Also, to make Martin more “applicable” so students can be positioned for higher paying jobs, the university is opening its Martin WORKS apprenticeship program to all students and is enhancing its Prior Learning Assessment initiative (PLA), which offers credit for life and work experience.
Martin WORKS allows students to be compensated while expanding their education and work resumes through apprenticeships potentially leading to permanent positions with “employer partners.” The program was previously limited. This campaign opens Martin WORKS to all students and has a placement rate of 92 percent. It has become popular with companies desiring a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable workforce.
