• The Irvington Garden Club will host the Irvington Farmer’s Market on Sunday, Aug. 14 from noon-3 p.m. at Ellenberger Park, 5301 E. St. Clair St. The market will have lots of produce, home-made treats, music, artisan vendors, and a good time for everyone in the community.
• Enjoy an evening in the Sunken Garden with the Garfield Brewery on Thursday, Aug. 18 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. During these special evenings in the Garden, visitors can also enjoy food from The Original Swayzee Hand Breaded Tenderloin and live music and performances. Event admission is free, and there is no need to register. Feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Children and leashed dogs are welcome. Dogs will not be allowed inside the Conservatory. Outside food and drinks not permitted. Garfield Park Sunken Gardens is located at 2505 Conservatory Dr.
• Season tickets to the Phoenix Theatre are now available. The 2022-23 season includes productions of tick, tick . . . BOOM!, dance by the Phoenix Rising Dance Company, ProZack the Sad Elf and Triangle by Ben Asaykwee and much more. Season tickets range from $440-$120. • BikeParty Indianapolis hosts a social bike ride on the second Friday of the month beginning at City Market. On Friday, Aug. 12 beginning at City Market at 7 p.m., they will be heading down to Major Taylor Velodrome. There will be two stops along the route. Helmets, lights, and bells are required to ride. Costumes are encouraged.
• The Historic Irvington Community Council will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. at Irvington Presbyterian Church, 55 Johnson Ave. in the basement. The public is invited to attend.
• IMPD and Take 5 Oil Change are offering a Paint & Protect Program for catalytic converters on Wednesday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 3640 S. East St. Take 5 Oil Change. They will paint your catalytic converter bright blue, which helps protect it from being cut off and stolen. Thieves avoid cutting off easily identifiable converters because they can’t sell them.

• Tim and Julie’s Another Fine Mess on East 10th St. is now Tim and Company’s Another Fine Mess, as Julie Crow has retired and Tim Harmon has partnered with Karla Folker and Katie Kelly. Chech them out at 2901 E. 10th St. for cool architectural salvage, antique stuff, and interesting ideas.
