INDIANAPOLIS — The Genealogical Society of Marion County will present a virtual “Military Day” program by Ron Darrah on the military resources at the GSMC library and “To Infamy and Beyond: Family History and World War II.” In addition, Brian Rinehart will present “I Have a Civil War Ancestor . . . Now What?” These programs are presented in cooperation with the Irvington Historical Society at the Bona Thompson Memorial Center, 5350 E. University Ave. on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 1:30 p.m. The event is free to attend in person, and no registration is required. Doors open at 1 p.m.
The discussions will cover how family historians can use the publicly accessible documents from the Civil War and World War II to gain a better understanding of family histories.
