Marion County Fair June 25-July 4

INDIANAPOLIS — The 91st Annual Marion County Fair will open Friday, June 25 and continue through Sunday, July 4 at the Marion County Fairgrounds, 7300 East Troy Ave. Fair hours are Mon.-Fri. 3 p.m.-11 p.m., and Sat. and Sun. 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Admission is $5 every day with tickets at the gate. Daily wristbands for the Midway are $25. Children under 5, military with valid ID, and Police and Firefighters are free with ID.
This year’s fair will feature a cutest baby contest on June 26 at noon, cheerleading competition June 26 at 10 a.m., Cirque Adventure daily shows, Dino-ROAR daily, Robotics Expo, talent shows, Silly Safari, and much more. Daily concerts feature top talent in many genres, including country-western, rap, rock, and gospel (tickets $25 and available online).
The youngsters of 4-H will fill the barns with animals they raise themselves, plus projects they have completed for competition. There are also exhibits of home arts and much more in the buildings throughout the fairgrounds.
The Marion County Fair Grandstands is now the Circle City Raceway, and they have quite a line-up of demolition derbies, sprint car races for only $5 admission.
Fireworks will go off on June 25 at the beginning of the fair and July 4 at dusk after the fair.
