INDIANAPOLIS — Uplift Produce quietly opened and started producing salad mixes and greens at the end of 2020 on the PR Mallory Campus, in the Bunker Building on East Washington St. They have been growing in number of employees and production amount since then and gaining customers in select markets. They are on the shelves in grocery stores in a few cities including Evansville, Nashville, Chicago, and Atlanta. They can be ordered locally through Green Bean Delivery.
In 2020, Uplift Produce donated over 2,000 pounds of produce to local food banks and hunger programs. They are looking to hire more part-time employees to harvest the greens and be part of the Uplift team. Many of the employees hired so far have been from the local 46201 community and Englewood neighborhood and have included a good number of formerly unemployed or low-income individuals. Visit upliftproduce.com for more information about job availability.
Uplift Produce provides salad mixes that are non-GMO and pesticide free, and use minimal packaging. Items include Spring Mix, Baby Romaine, and their signature blend Uplift mix.
