INDIANAPOLIS — Composted mulch created from leaves collected during 2020′s leaf collection is now available for pick-up at South Side Landfill. Residents can pick up mulch at no cost while supplies last.
Residents wishing to pick up mulch should bring their own shovel and be prepared to shovel mulch into their car or container. Mulch can be picked up Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Each year during the four-week collection period, Indy DPW takes bagged leaves set out by residents to South Side Landfill. During the 2020 season, DPW collected 5,458 tons of leaves.
The South Side Landfill is located at 2561 Kentucky Ave.
