BEECH GROVE — The Samuel Bryan Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, was proud to award the 2021 Youth Citizenship Award on March 2 to Zachary Dray, Indianapolis. Chapter Regent, Patricia Moy, presented the Youth Citizenship Award to Zac at his home with family present. This award is presented to those who display honor, service, responsibility, leadership and patriotism.
Zac is a senior at Warren Central High School. He is involved in multiple sports, and was a State Finalist in wrestling for Warren Central. In addition to school activities, he is active in Boy Scouts and performed his Eagle Scout project by fundraising and building a bench shelter at the Sarah T. Bolton Park in Beech Grove to complete a DAR project of providing a recycled bench to the Beech Grove Parks Department.
Regent Moy stated, “Zac was an obvious choice for this award for our chapter. He has spent his entire life giving to others, unselfishly, and we were glad to show our appreciation as a chapter and national organization.” Zac will continue to be an asset to the community and country as he has joined the National Guard and will be heading to basic training after graduation.”
