I‘m not going to describe in great detail last Sunday’s Colts/Texans game. It all came down to “THE FUMBLE” with a minute and a half on the clock and the Texans in perfect position to score the go-ahead touchdown. Houston quarterback Deshaun Watson fumbled the snap from center. Colts linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. recovered the ball and there was the game. The football gods were certainly with the Colts. The play has made all the week’s highlight reels and will most likely be one of 2020’s most memorable plays.
Rookie running back Jonathan Taylor, who rushed for 91 yards and caught a 39 yard touchdown pass from Philip Rivers, his first TD catch as a pro, is a candidate for the Pepsi “Rookie of the Week.” Taylor leads the team in rushing with 609 yards on 148 carries.
By winning last weekend and having the Titans lose to the Cleveland Browns, the Colts are back in a tie with the Titans for first place in the AFC South with an 8-4 record. The Horseshoe has four games left in the regular season including the Las Vegas Raiders this coming Sunday. Right now the Colts are a 2.5 favorite.
The Colts are auditioning offensive tackles. With Anthony Castonzo’s sprained knee and Le’Raven Clarks’ broken ankle, the team is down to Chaz Green at left tackle. The squad needs some depth at offensive tackle. Former Colts tackle Antonio Garcia is among the candidates.
Justin Houston is the Colts’ nominee for the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award for 2020.

Donald Davidson, the veteran historian of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has announced that he will retire at the end of 2020. Born in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, the personable Davidson came to the Speedway in 1964 and amazed everyone with his memory and knowledge of Indy car racing. He has been involved with the Speedway and auto racing ever since. Best of luck to Donald and enjoy your retirement.
