Dustin Johnson won his green jacket as the Masters champ in historic fashion. The 34-year-old from Columbia South Carolina dominated, finishing 5 under par over second place Cameron Smith. “To have the record at under 20 is a great honor,” said Johnson.
Johnson was never seriously challenged during the tournament. The postponed Masters held in November was not a hit with TV viewers. It suffered the lowest ratings of any Masters in TV history.
Hoosiers Playing Some Hot Football
Tom Allen’s 2020 IU Hoosier Football team is now 4-0 in the Big Ten and 6-0 overall. With a 24-0 over Michigan State the Big Red looks as ready as it will be to meet Ohio State. The 8th ranked Big Red Team will host the Buckeyes at Memorial Stadium this coming Saturday. Tom Allen could be Big Ten Coach of the Year and quarterback Michael Penix Jr is having an All Big Ten-worthy year as the team’s signal caller. The game will be a big test of how good the Hoosiers really are.
Colts Handle the Titans
Last Thursday night in Nashville the Colts handled the Titans with a 34-17 whipping. Offensively, it was a breakout performance by rookie wideout Michael Pittman Jr. and stellar play by the defense and special teams that helped the Horseshoe dominate in the second half. The big play of the game was a block punt by E. J .Speed that was returned for a touchdown by T. J. Carrie. After that play the Horseshoe had the momentum and the Titans couldn’t catch up.
It doesn’t get any easier for the Colts as they meet the Packers this Sunday at Lucas Oil at 4:25 p.m.
