INDIANA — Agape Therapeutic Riding Resources, a therapeutic equine nonprofit with locations in Cicero, Greenfield and Martinsville, announced plans to move forward with its annual Boots & Bowties fundraiser, with supporters hosting smaller house parties that stream the entertainment and auction virtually.
Boots & Bowties House Parties will take place Friday, October 9 beginning at 6:30 p.m., and will feature dinner, drinks, dancing, a live auction, and entertainment, including special guest appearances. Over 50 House Parties will be held throughout the area.
Boots & Bowties raises $150,000 annually for Agape, which goes towards caring for the horses and facilities, and defraying the cost of lessons for children and adults with varying disabilities.
A couple live auction items for this year’s event include a Peloton bike and a week’s stay at Big Cedar Lodge, a world class fishing, boating and golfing resort on breathtaking Table Rock Lake in Missouri.
In addition to the silent and live auctions, Boots & Bowties will feature a new Mystery Horseshoe raffle, which features a 1 in 200 chance to win a $5,000 grand prize, as well as other prizes. Tickets are $100 and only 200 will be sold.
Agape is looking for additional House Party Hosts. The cost to sponsor a House Party is $800 and includes a Boots & Bowties-In-A-Box. The box includes everything a sponsor needs to throw a House Party including food, beverages, signage, and a live-stream camera.
There is no cost for people to watch the festivities virtually.
