INDIANAPOLIS — The recipients for the first round of Emergency Services Grants have been announced. The competitive application process prioritized funding to rapidly rehouse persons living in temporary non-congregate shelter/housing, help operate emergency non-congregate temporary shelters/housing, and prevent homelessness for persons affected by the COVID-19 Crisis.
The organizations that will receive funding are ASPIRE Indiana Health, Coburn Place Safe Haven, Horizon House, HVAF of Indiana Inc., Stopover, Inc., Dayspring Center, and Family Promise of Greater Indianapolis.
The allocated funding can be used to make more emergency shelters available, operating funds for existing emergency shelters, providing hotel/motel vouchers for people experiencing homelessness, providing essential services for people experiencing homelessness, and preventing individuals from becoming homeless.
