• National Night Out, “America’s Night Out Against Crime,” will be on Tuesday, Aug. 4. Because of issues surrounding COVID-19 and in observance of CDC restrictions, this year’s celebration will be modified to a Blue Lights National Night Out. • Our own Paula Nicewanger witnessed a very kind deed last Friday, July 17 while delivering our newspaper. She was in the turn lane at 21st & Shadeland waiting for the light to change when an elderly lady on a walker was slowly trying to cross Shadeland in front of her car. She sat through the light watching as two workers in their neon yellow vests came running out from their roadwork and stopped all the traffic so the lady could cross safely. Thanks guys!
