INDIANAPOLIS – The Office of Public Health and Safety’s Violence Reduction Team, in partnership with McFarland Foods, community organizations, and faith leaders, is hosting a “drive-through” resource fair from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26 in the parking lot of Martin University, located at 2186 N. Sherman Drive. Community members will receive resources in their vehicles in a “drive-through” set-up while social distancing will be enforced, along with providing free face coverings to residents as part as the City’s initiative to give free face coverings to Marion County residents.
Tables and booths will be appropriately spaced to respect privacy and social distancing. The following services and supplies will be available to residents:
• Food
• Free face coverings
• School supplies
• Health screenings
• Information on grief groups and therapy
Residents and affected workers impacted by COVID-19 restrictions should visit the city’s resource guide, which can be viewed at indy.gov/covid. Spanish speaking residents can view the resource guide here. Individuals who are unable to navigate the city’s website can call 317-327-4MAC between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to talk to a customer service representative. Those in need of non-emergency police services should call 317-327-3811. Residents not currently experiencing an emergency who have questions about COVID-19 are asked to call 1-877-826-0011.
