INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Police Dept. East District recently sent out a request for bottle caps that will be recycled to create a Peace Bench to be placed in East District.
Residents collected and delivered over 600 pounds of plastic bottle caps to the project within a couple of weeks, and they have been turned over to the recycling company to create the bench.
Residents are asked to not deliver any more bottle caps to the East District headquarters.
