INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) East District Captain Karen Arnett received the 24th Neal-Marshall Alumni Club (Indiana University) Outstanding Leadership award on Saturday Oct. 12.
“I am very proud and honored to have been nominated as one of two recipients to receive this prestigious award. It means a great deal to me to be recognized by the IU Alumni Association – National Board of Managers of the Neal Marshall Alumni Club,” Captain Arnett said.
The Neal-Marshall Alumni Chapter (Club), an affiliate of the IU Alumni Association, was originally founded in 1980 to meet the needs of Indiana University African-American alumni and to increase their participation in local and national IU alumni groups.
