IRVINGTON — Black Acre Brewing Company, Irvington’s first microbrewery, recently announced a significant expansion that will increase seating at the original taproom, add family dining, and expand the kitchen. They also announced a partnership with Bee Coffee Roasters, who will be opening up in the expanded taproom for morning and afternoon service. The expansion and changes will take place during the remainder of the summer of 2019.
In addition to changes that will take place in the taproom on East Washington St., Black Acre has announced that they are in the process of building an outdoor beer garden and events venue at the production facility on Bonna Ave. The new beer garden will feature outdoor seating, a stage for live entertainment, and more. The project will likely be fully completed by summer of 2020. However, they are planning on opening up the venue for their Beard Tax Day Beer Festival on September 28 and for the Irvington Halloween Festival on October 26.
Black Acre will also be launching a new spirits brand, Wilderland Distillery. The first releases include a dry gin, a barrel-aged gin, a chardonnay barrel-aged rum, and a Beard Tax Russian Imperial Stout barrel-finished bourbon. They are also working on a new Rickhouse. Wilderland Distillery products will be made available in liquor stores, bars, restaurants, and in specialty cocktails at their new location in downtown Zionsville.
The new location, Corvus-Black Acre Rotisserie, Taproom and Bourbon Bar, will be located at 98 S. Main St. in Zionsville. The restaurant, when completed, will feature Amish Indiana rotisserie chickens, sandwiches, and more. The new place is targeted to open later in 2019.
