INDIANAPOLIS — The Indy Public Safety Foundation is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 9th class of the Public Safety Citizens Academy (PSCA). The PSCA is a free, 11-week program that gives community members a behind-the-scenes look at Indy’s public safety agencies — the Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD), Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) and more. The goal is to build relationships and increase engagement between first responders and the community members they serve.
In addition to the 11 weeks of class sessions at public safety facilities around Indy, participants are invited to attend an Orientation and Graduation. The 9th class will run every Thursday (approx. 6:30 – 9:30 pm) from Thurs. August 2 (Orientation) to Thurs. October 25 (Graduation). Participants should be able to attend all class sessions.
We have limited spots available and traditionally, these offerings fill up within a matter of days. Register online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/PSCA9
