• The Irvington Farmer’s Market will be held Sun., July 8 from noon-3 p.m. at Ellenberger Park, 5301 E. St. Clair. Dozens of vendors with farm fresh produce, plus prepared foods, arts, crafts, activities for kids, music, and people watching in the park!
• Did you know you can go on a tour of Monument Circle downtown on Fridays and Saturdays? Yep, just meet the volunteer from Indiana Landmarks at 10 a.m. by South Bend Chocolate Company, 30 Monument Circle.
• Brandywine Wind will perform July 6 in the Entertainment on the Plaza series. The show begins at 7 p.m. at the Greenfield City Plaza lawn. Bring your own seating. There is no rain date or site in case of bad weather.
• There will be a Near Eastside Neighborhood Summit on July 12 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Boner Neighborhood Center, 2236 E. 10th St. All are welcome as citizens discuss the Quality of Life Plan and priorities for improving the east side. Admission is free.
• On July 12 at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. & 2:30 p.m., there will be a Power-Up Statement Art Class at the Franklin Rd. Branch, 5550 S. Franklin Rd. Young people ages 6 – 17 are invited to create a piece of art that describes what inspires them to try harder, be smarter and grow stronger. This program is presented by Art With a Heart. • Get ready for the third annual SEND Bike Tour and party on July 14 at 10 a.m. Participants will meet in the parking lot of the Florence Fay Senior Apartments, 2815 English Ave. to check in and get tour maps until 1 p.m. This is a family friendly event that will focus on the five neighborhoods of Twin Aire. Volunteers will be on hand at key points to talk about the neighborhood and its future. This is a free event; registered participants (online at Eventbrite.com) will receive a free event t-shirt and be eligible for local business gift certificates and other prizes.
• Symphony in the Park will be held July 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Ellenberger Park, 5301 E. St. Clair. The Indianapolis Symphony will play favorites in the park, where all are welcome. Admission is free. Parking will be available at Community Hospital East with a shuttle provided to the park. This is a great east side tradition that is fun for the whole family.
• St. John Lutheran Church and School, 6630 Southeastern Ave. will hold a “Lunch and Learn” adult fellowship opportunity at 11:30 a.m. on July 19.
