The Indianapolis Colts have not been overly active in free agency but they have resigned guard Jack Mewhort to a one year contract, defensive back Pierre Desir to a one year contract, and added wide receiver Ryan Grant from the Redskins, and center Matt Slauson from the Chargers to one year deals. There will be more free agent signings of course, but at this moment the Colts are getting ready for the upcoming NFL Draft.
Our Indiana Pacers have clinched a spot in the 2018 Eastern Conference NBA playoffs. The team is currently 43 – 31 which puts them in 5th place in the conference, 11 games back of leader Toronto. The addition of guard and Hoosier basketball hero Victor Oladipo to the roster has given the team a much-needed shot of adrenaline and the fans a reason to cheer. There are still 8 games left in the season and the chance that the team could move up a notch or two before the playoffs begin, but the Pacers will definitely be in the hunt. Congratulations to Head Coach Nate McMillan and the team for making the city proud.
