LAWRENCE — The Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame (IMVHOF) broke ground on a permanent building on Sept. 11. The building will pay tribute to all five branches of the military services and will personally recognize the veterans who have been inducted into each year’s class of the Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame. The 501(c)3 organization will induct its third class of Hoosier veterans into its Hall of Fame on Nov. 4.
The land was donated by The American Legion Department of Indiana Headquarters, and the building will sit on the Legion’s south lawn in Lawrence, Indiana. The organization has begun raising funds for building construction and hopes to begin the building process next spring with Wurster Construction.
