INDIANAPOLIS — Ivy Tech Community College is partnering with 105 schools in central Indiana
to offer free college credits to qualifying high school students.
The Ivy Tech dual credit program has reached a record enrollment with 56,337 students enrolled statewide and 10,735 in central Indiana for the 2015-16 school year. This year’s dual credit enrollment represents a 6.5 percent increase in students, compared to the 52,908 high school students enrolled last year and a 23 percent increase in students compared to the 45,819 students enrolled two years ago.
The program allows high school students to simultaneously earn both college credit at Ivy Tech and high school credit. Dual credit courses are offered tuition free to students, saving parents even more on their child’s college education.

Among the honors, Walker Career Center was recognized as an outstanding Career Center Partner. The Transition to College Partner of the Year awards were shared between Decatur Central High School and J. Everett Light Career Center.
