INDIANAPOLIS — Footlite Musicals will celebrate its 61st season with a slate of seven productions of the best of Broadway and Off Broadway. The 2016-2017 season includes “Jekyll & Hyde, the Musical,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “The Addams Family,” “Monty Python’s Spamalot,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Anything Goes” and “Dreamgirls.”
Indianapolis’ oldest continuing community theatre presents its productions at its home theater, the Hedback Community Theater, 1847 North Alabama St. Curtain time for its Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances is 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees have a 2:30 p.m. curtain.
“Jekyll & Hyde” will open the season with performances July 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23 and 24. This Young Adult production is performed by actors age 18 through 25. This epic struggle between good and evil comes to life on stage in this musical phenomenon. Based on the classic story by Robert Louis Stevenson, the musical has mesmerized audiences the world over.
