INDIANAPOLIS — Tired of seeing the same old Christmas stories again and again? Khaos Company Theatre (KCT) is bringing something new to the theatre scene this holiday season with the world premiere of an original play, A Christmas Carol in Drag, written and directed by Artistic Director Kaylee Spivey Good. A Christmas Carol in Drag is the final show of KCT’s 2015 Season which concludes KCT’s first full length season since the theatre’s opening in September 2014.
Join Scrooge, (Hanna Yager) a homophobic, xenophobic, sexist, racist, penny pincher with a hate for Christmas on his journey to become a better…um…man. When his gay nephew Fred (Kevin Schmidlin) gets tired of Scrooge’s Christmas bigotry, he teams up with the Reaper (Conni Kelley-Schoen) to turn the entire world into a drag show. But when the spell goes awry, will Scrooge learn the lesson of tolerance or will the world be doomed to be ruled by a repressive government regime? A Christmas Carol in Drag is sure to be the Christmas comedy hit of Indianapolis.
Show dates and times are 7 p.m. Dec. 11, 12, 18, and 19 at Khaos Company Theatre, 3125 E. 10th St. in Suite K of the Clifford Corners Building (corner of 10th and Gray St.).
