INDIANAPOLIS — Nativity Catholic School’s newly formed Titan Archers earned their way to the Indiana State Fairgrounds on March 14 to compete in the Indiana State National Archery in the Schools Program Tournament. The team is made up of 12 middle school students.
Ninety-eight schools with over 2,000 participants from across the state took part in the contest. Top finishers for Nativity were Sarah Prusa, 7th grade, with a score of 264 out of a possible 300, and T.J. LaMarca, 8th grade, with a score of 253. Sixth grader, Ethan McGuire, had high scores for the 3-D challenge.
Coaches Pat Hagerty and Jennifer Devine are very proud of their team and all they’ve learned about archery this season. Nativity Catholic School is located in Franklin Township and serves over 350 students in southeast Marion County from preschool through 8th grade.
