GREENFIELD — The CrazyLake Acting Company will present Moon Over Buffalo by Ken Ludwig, February 7th through 15th at the HJ Ricks Centre for the Arts at 122 West Main Street in Greenfield.
Moon Over Buffalo is a hilarious farce that features aging actors, George and Charlotte Hay (played by Lee McCarty and Chris Vetters) on tour with their repertory theatre in Buffalo, New York, in 1953. Although they very much enjoy their lives together (most of the time), they believe that the opportunity for ‘real stardom’ has passed them by. Suddenly, out of the blue, word comes that Frank Capra is coming to town to take in their matinee performance. Unfortunately, they don’t get the call because Charlotte, fed up with George’s indiscretions, has left town with their accountant, Richard (played by Trever Brown). George, distraught at having been caught with their young secretary, Eileen (played by Amy Studabaker), has gone on a bender leaving daughter Roz (played by Sydera Theobald) and her former actor-boyfriend Paul (played by Patrick Gawrys-Strand) to try and track him down. Meanwhile, Roz’s current boyfriend Howard (played by Corey Yeaman), who has been mistaken as an ardent fan of the Hays’.
Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m.; the Sunday matinee is at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $12 at the door or $10 online at CrazyLake.com. Please e-mail Chris@CrazyLake.com for more info.
