Chef Jet Visits WCC

INDIANAPOLIS — On March 3, Chef Jet Tila, a Chef featured on the Food Network, came to the Walker Career Center (WCC) and Warren Central High School (WCHS) to congratulate Seniors Tori Mason and Kierra Clark for creating their own “Hometown Specialty” recipe. The Seniors represented the Culinary Arts Program located in the WCC, and lead Chef Carol Rice. Chartwells, the food service provider for MSD Warren Township Schools, hosted this event. Tori and Kierra placed as one of the top 4 winners in the country.
Chef Jet presented the students with monogrammed Chef coats, Hometown Specialty aprons and signed awards. Chef Jet prepared the winning recipe, Blackberry Glazed Chicken with Steamed Veggies and Roasted Red Potatoes with the students during the WCC/WCHS lunch period and allowed WCHS students the option to purchase the entrée. Chef Jet also signed autographs for students during all lunch periods.
