Indianapolis Public Library employee Shanika Heyward was honored as winner of the 2013 Beth Tindel Award at The Indianapolis Public Library’s Staff Day on Nov. 11. She is joined by Danny Dean, President of the Library Foundation. Heyward, who serves as Manager of the East 38th Street Branch and is a resident of that neighborhood, was cited for outstanding Library staff support and advocacy of Foundation activities. The Beth Tindel Award is named in memory of the 12-year Library staff member who was valued for her enthusiastic support of the Foundation and passion for Library service.
