INDIANAPOLIS — The bronze sculpture work of northern Indiana artist Tuck Langland is the subject of an exhibition opening Oct. 4 at the University of Indianapolis.
Heads, Real & Imagined: Bronze Works by Tuck Langland will run through Oct. 25 in UIndy’s Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center Gallery, 1400 E. Hanna Ave. A reception is scheduled 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 4 in the gallery.
Langland, a Granger resident, taught sculpture at IU-South Bend for 35 years before retiring in 2008. His representational, figurative bronze works can be found in many national and international collections, public and private. He has written two books on the subject of bronze sculpture, Practical Sculpture and From Clay to Bronze, which are used as course textbooks by many institutions.
