INDIANAPOLIS — Maestro Raymond Leppard will help launch the 33rd season of the University of Indianapolis Faculty Artist Concert Series at a gala opening performance Sept. 16.
Admission is free to the 7:30 p.m. concert in UIndy’s Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center, 1400 E. Hanna Ave.
Leppard, conductor laureate of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and artist-in-residence at UIndy, will lead the university’s Festival Orchestra and Choral Ensembles in music of J.S. Bach, Mozart and Grieg. Leppard also will discuss his six-decade career in music and his latest activities in an onstage conversation with Professor Paul Krasnovsky, UIndy’s director of choral activities.
