INDIANAPOLIS — To offer a clear and useful map of housing and infrastructure conditions in each Near Eastside neighborhood, Indy-east Asset Development will be hosting a neighborhood survey blitz on Sept. 7 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
The blitz is an opportunity to name and rate conditions, and receive electronic documentation to advocate for neighborhood improvements. Conditions to be documented include vacant housing, collapsing structures, fire damage, broken windows, tall grass/weeds, vacant lots, roofing and siding condition, and other housing problems. The survey will also encompass streets and sidewalk conditions, including cracking pavement, patching potholes, sidewalk displacement, and more.
Volunteers from each NESCO neighborhood are needed. Please contact Dan O’Dea at Indy-east Asset Development at 317-808-2318 or e-mail dodea@jhbcc.org.
